Hi, You basically need a SCSI DLT Tape drive which uses Type III or Type IV tape ( to have copy protection in duplication) The studio I work at has an old dual g4 because it has PCI slots and a SCSI card.
The bigger issue for Desktop machines is which SCSI card to get in order to hook up the DLT drive.. You should contact your replicator to see if they want DLT III or DLT IV tape I've heard mixed reviews on those converters, Doug - some love 'em, some claim they don't work too well..
